**Shop Assistant – Bicycle Rental (Lisbon)**
Are you passionate about cycling and eager to share this passion with others? Join our vibrant team at LISBON BIKE RENTALS®, located in the heart of Lisbon. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Shop Assistant to help run our bicycle rental services. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who love being active, enjoy meeting new people, and want to become part of the thriving Lisbon cycling community.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Greet and assist customers in selecting and renting bicycles, providing them with detailed information on rental options, pricing, and routes.
– Process rental bookings, payments, and security deposits efficiently.
– Perform routine maintenance checks on bicycles and ensure they are clean and in good working order.
– Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of rentals, returns, maintenance, and repairs.
– Assist with shop merchandising, setting up displays, and stocking retail items.
– Provide customers with recommendations on cycling routes, safety tips, and local points of interest.
– Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with a positive and professional approach.
**Requirements:**
– Proven customer service experience, preferably in the retail or hospitality industry.
– Basic knowledge of bicycle mechanics and maintenance is preferred but not essential.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
– Fluent in Portuguese and proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
– A high school diploma or equivalent; further education is a bonus.
– Must be available to work weekends and public holidays.
